The following example has me further exploring centers with Aaron. We explore the Hun Yuan Zhang and Santi Shi as both of these postures can be used to strengthen lung function and to explore how the external posture can affect The function of the lungs. Obviously if the posture is hunched or twisted this could have a negative affect on one’s ability to breathe comfortably. The arm positions , used incorrectly can block the flow of Chi in the lung meridians. Seeking the center in our postures can be looked at from various angles. One of those angles would be to look at how restricted or unrestricted one’s breathing is while the arms are in various positions. Moving the arms from comfort to discomfort helps one to explore center. Learning to move in center allows one’s body to have the opportunity for Optimal comfort.
