i have this book in Chinese, I couldn’t find it anywhere either !!! My friend and Fellow Practitioner Marcel Vilaflor had a friend in Malasyia that had the book and let him photograph it entirely . I gave a Chinese copy to Mr. Chan and he was thrilled as it is our taiChi Ruler System .

        Hi Jim,
I was taught the first 3 parts to this system by an older gentleman I met in an exhumation class. I donโ€™t know much about the physical benefits but it feels like a very rare and old form. Can you tell me more what you know…..I do the tai chi ruler, the fishing, and also the next one where you look at palms of hands while circling. This man moved away before he taught the balls and tables. He said I needed to find a good carpenter.

If you are interested in continuing to study that we can FaceTime private lessons. I have been doing that for quite a while and have many students making breakthroughs from long distances. You can contact me via my email : [email protected]

Looking forward to talking with you.

    Hello,

I’ve been looking for this book for awhile, thanks for posting it up.

Would you have any good leads on where I could find this book in paper back?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks

    Hello,

I’ve been looking for this book for awhile, with no luck. My teacher has a copy and looks very much like this one. Would you have any good leads on where I can find this book, English/Chinese?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I got a copy from them in HK in 75
Can’t remember now if it was in English or not
It didn’t matter because my teacher who took me there had learnt it from them

    Dear Mr. Russo,
In this booklet the feet are positioned precisely and very close to one another. In the many videos that are around the opposite is the case and the movements with the ruler are also much larger. I would like to know if that difference is of any importance according your understanding.
And โ€ฆ how important is the length and the form of the ruler? Would any piece of wood of approximate 30 cm do the job?
    WKR

The footing is very close because when oneโ€™s weight is put on 1 foot it opens the spine. Keeping the feet at the correct distance causes a pumping action. The ruler should be the length from the elbow to the wrist. That should be the distance between the edges of the two ends, not the rounded bowl and part. The circumference of the ends should be the length from the wrist to the middle finger tip. These were taught in a very precise way as this art is very Percision oriented. Willow is the preferred would due to its yin qualities

It’s great to find this book again. I learned this system from Tsoui Woon Kwong in Hong Kong in the late 1980s and have his book in Chinese but had lost this book. I’m just starting to rebuild this set after many years of neglect. Be well!
