The path to power in the Internal Martial Arts is to loosen the muscles and lengthen the tendons . It is important to attend to the Inner Work before doing the Tendon Exercises because if you have a Hot Liver for example or a Liver Yin Deficiency then your Tendons may get injured due to tightness and lack of blood/nutrients.
