Silk Reeling pt 3 – beginning two person training/training the Chi.
This two person training is one of the most important trainings that we do. The feeder is extremely important. If they attack you with too much power or too deeply too soon , you will start to make resistance your friend. The feeder can cultivate his own touch while developing the touch of his training partner. The awareness developed from this type of training creates a feeling where each joint is being listened to for its functional integrity. The body becomes like a spiderweb. This is the pathway to moving in a state of high awareness. This is feeling how when one part moves they all move. The following example shows me stopping Aaron from moving from position 1 to position 2. I highly recommend staying on just trying to move from that first starting point to the Second position. Every time you are shut down, you have an opportunity to increase your awareness. Eventually , your sensitivity becomes such that your opponent can barely move without informing every cell of your body. This is the application of mind controlling the subconscious movement of the body. This sensitivity and awareness become a part of your normal being. As this template of movement becomes more refined, it is overlaid into the movement of the form. Eventually this knowledge helps you to close up your holes or defects in your posture while your Chi knows the ramifications of your partners defect and moves towards the defect by itself . This training actually trains your Chi which has its own intelligence.
