SNAKE CREEPS DOWN APPLICATIONS
Snake Creeps Down can be used in a variety of ways. I can shift backward causing my opponent to over extend ,allowing his elbow past his knee and weakening his posture. This allows me to adhere to his wrist and elbow, rolling him back and into a lock. The lead arm generally “snakes” through the limbs and body de-stabilizing your opponent and throwing him. i recommend going very deep ( don’t let weighted knee past toe) in the form practice of Snake Creeps Down Posture as this opens the hips, lower back, and it also lengthens the tendons ( long tendons = more power) . Use caution going too deep in application as you may not have the power to rise against resistance . Experiment with a partner to find your functional range of movement. This will be indicated by the loss of real power once you have gone too far…
