The following footage shows me demonstrating to Aaron how even the opening movement has elements of value in the Martial realm. The opening and closing of the qua is demonstrated while I am standing on one foot. This creates a Jin that can be extended to the contact point. I first demonstrate against Aaron’s strength. He endeavors to prevent me from doing the movement with strength. The torque created by the Jin rapidly transfers causing the spinning action. I also use it to move into a tiger punch. The Jin is efficiently routed because there is only two contact points, my foot and my palm. This prevents the leakage of Jin and actually focuses its direction. If we had a vessel that we could fill with water that had one hole in the top and two holes in the bottom, the internal pressure would cause the water to flow out of both holes at the same rate of speed if they are of the same diameter and equally placed. The internal pressure will increase if one hole is plugged causing the water to accelerate out of the single hole. This would be an example of what would happen in the body.
