using coiling to flank your opponent

When you use coiling, you use the connective tissue that runs from head to toe in the body that is also known as the fascia. When the torso turns relative to the leg position, It causes a pulling action on the tissue that runs through the limbs when you turn your torso . This is what causes your palm to overturn when you turn and you sink internally. Then your Chi lowers down as well and gets pulled through the taughtness of the fascia. To understand the concept: if two people are standing in a pool and the drain is opened in the pool on my side of the pool, the water doesn't just go down on my side of the pool. It goes down evenly in the entire pool. This is how when I sink the Chi in my body , it causes it to sink in my partner/opponent's body . When I cross my arm with my opponent's punching or attacking arm, and I sink my Chi and allow my torso to turn, It stretches the Chi in my limbs like you would tune a guitar string taught. This allows the energy to resonate through the "string ". This causes the opponents energy to be drawn through my limbs into my root and gives them a feeling of being stuck to me. When I turn in this fashion, it causes my partner's/opponent's body to turn with me, essentially allowing me to flank them without having to move my feet. This is a very efficient way of positioning peculiar to the internal martial arts.
