Hu Yaozhen

Hu Yaozhen (1897-1973), was born in Yuci County, Shanxi Province. He has studied medicine and martial arts since he was a child, and also practiced Buddhism and Taoism. It is known as "Single Finger Shaking the Universe" and "Iron Palm Hu".
Japanese martial arts circles call it the "God of Fist" in China. He once learned from Taoist heirs Peng Tingjun and Wang Fuyuan, and practiced Taoist internal strength and health care methods. Learned from Dai Wenjun in Qixian County, Shanxi, and practiced Xinyi Liuhequan, and obtained the "Shoudongchen Skill Boxing Manual"; learned from Monk Lihong of Congshan Temple in Shanxi, and practiced Buddhist exercises; and practiced Zhuangzi's "breathing method" and Hua Tuo of five birds. Mr. Hu Yaozhen, who has been practicing martial arts for decades, has never stopped practicing medicine. He has compiled and interpreted the great achievements of Taoism, Confucianism and martial arts.
In 1956, he hosted the first Qigong Academy in Beijing. In 1953, he co-founded the Capital Martial[528F6CDE-B84D-4278-951E-043DD8CA0120.jpeg] Arts Society with Chen Fake, the descendant of Chen-style Taijiquan. Mr. Chen and Hu served as the director and vice president, and made outstanding contributions to the development of Chinese martial arts.
