MONKEY STEPS STIR UP

Monkey Steps Posture from the Five Animal Frolics is used in this example to stir up my opponent’s footing . I parry Jim Galloway’s punch to my left by turning slightly to the left. I then hook /contract/sink pulling him into pinning his own feet enticing an upward resistance that gets released in an upward spiral . Jim Galloway’s sudden lose of footing causes an extension response in his punching arm which collides with my returning “paw” . This collision bounces him away. This entire action is accomplished with quick and small left/right turn of the waist . The Ahn Jin /downward pinning force is the result of dropping/sinking once connected with Jim’s resistance. These combined actions make one circle, half of which follows/diverts ( Yin) and half of which follows/attacks ( Yang).
