The Five Animal Frolics are one of the oldest existing Dao Yin exercises. They are based on Five Element T heory, and are used to heal and nurture the Five Elements and their respective organ pairs. This training is done directionally ( in harmony with the earth's, magnetic and energetics fields) as well as seasonally for optimal results. I've use this system for approaching 25 years as a form of medicine bag that travels with me even when my pockets are empty. I use the system to help me maintain the health of my body and the various organs. BP Chan often taught Martial applications of these actions, knowing that, in my youth, I did not value the healing as much as I should have valued it. This was a way to get me engaged and interested in the system, and I have used it to help myself as well as others who have come to me with various illnesses over the years. It is absolutely one of my most precious possessions.  This footage is showing the application of, " Leaping and Pressing P osture" from the Tiger in the Five Animal Frolics. The action of " Pu An " allows me to capture someone's limbs and press them into the ground, tying up their feet and causing them to incline forward where I can then strike them. This is a favorite energetic action of mine, and I use it quite frequently in fighting application.
